    In this paper, vibration induced by flood release of Dongping Arch Dam is studied fully by a three-dimensional finite-element random vibration method. Characters and rules of vibration responses are studied respectively according to design flood level and check flood level. The safety of the vibration resistance of the arch dam is evaluated, and some engineering measures to improve the ability of vibration resistance during the flood-releasing period of the Dongping Arch Dam are discussed.
